Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 30 April 2026

1. Who we are

IrishMCP (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at irishmcp.ie, Ireland's first hosted Model Context Protocol platform. We are an Irish-based technology service providing AI tooling and data access via the Model Context Protocol standard.

By creating an account or using our services you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use IrishMCP. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Your account

We use passwordless “magic link” authentication. When you enter your email and request a sign-in link you are responsible for keeping that link confidential and not sharing it with others.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@irishmcp.ie if you believe your account has been compromised.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the platform, or engage in fraudulent activity.

4. Credits and payments

IrishMCP operates on a credit system. Credits are purchased via Stripe and are non-refundable except where required by applicable Irish consumer law. Free signup bonus credits expire 90 days after grant. Purchased credits do not expire.

Prices and credit bundles may change at any time. Changes will not affect credits already purchased.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Irish or EU law.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or any technical controls.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform.
  • Resell access to MCP endpoints without our written permission.
  • Use the service to generate content that is harmful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt platform availability.

6. Data, privacy, and GDPR

We are committed to handling your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

The personal data we collect includes:

  • Email address — used for authentication and communications.
  • Usage data — credit transactions, report history, playground queries.
  • Payment data — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.

We process your data on the lawful bases of contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for) and legitimate interests (platform security, abuse prevention, analytics). Where we rely on consent — specifically for marketing communications — you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Your data is stored in the European Economic Area on Supabase infrastructure. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

You have the right to access, correct, port, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@irishmcp.ie.

7. Marketing and email communications

By creating an account on IrishMCP you agree to receive the following types of email from us:

  • Transactional emails — magic-link sign-in, credit receipts, report delivery. These cannot be opted out of as they are required for the service to function.
  • Product updates — announcements of new MCP servers, platform features, and significant service changes.
  • Marketing communications — occasional promotional emails about IrishMCP services, offers, and relevant Irish tech news. Your email address may be used for targeted marketing and to build lookalike audiences on advertising platforms (e.g. Meta, Google), always in compliance with GDPR. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by emailing hello@irishmcp.ie.

We will not send you spam. We will not sell your email address to third parties. All marketing will be relevant to IrishMCP and Irish technology.

8. Intellectual property

All content on IrishMCP — including the platform design, MCP server code, guide text, ebook content, and brand assets — is owned by IrishMCP and protected by Irish and international copyright law.

Downloadable guides and ebooks are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only. You may share them with attribution to IrishMCP but may not sell, sublicense, or republish them without written permission.

The underlying data accessed through IrishMCP MCP servers (e.g. Irish Rail, Met Éireann, CSO data) belongs to the respective data owners and is subject to their own licensing terms. IrishMCP acts as a technical intermediary only.

9. Third-party services

IrishMCP integrates with third-party services including Supabase (database and auth), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (MCP server hosting), and various Irish public data APIs. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of those third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

IrishMCP is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the data returned by MCP tools is always accurate or up to date.

AI-generated content and MCP tool responses should not be relied upon for safety-critical decisions. Always verify important information from primary sources (e.g. Irish Rail, Met Éireann, HSE directly).

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, IrishMCP's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.

We exclude liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under applicable EU law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, send an email to registered users. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
